About Us:
As the location of the King of Thailand’s summer palace, Klai Kangwon or ‘Far from Worries’, the beautiful beach town of Hua Hin has a special place in the hearts of all Thais.
In the early 1920s, during the reign of King Rama VI, the Royal State Railways of Siam laid track to Hua Hin, and the town soon blossomed into the country’s first resort and the favoured holiday destination of Thai nobility. Built in 1929, the palace was influenced by the Spanish architecture of the time and infused with elements of traditional Thai style to create aesthetic unique to Hua Hin.
The land on which Laksasubha Hua Hin Resort sits was the home of HRH Prince Krisda Bhiniharn Krom Phra Naresra Varariddhi, the grandfather of the present owner, M.L. Laksasubha Kridakon. She recalls idyllic summers and weekends spent here as a child, enchanted by her grandfather’s house, the tropical gardens and beachfront setting. As the guardian of the land, M.L. Laksasubha’s wish was to share her treasured memories by creating a luxurious retreat that reflects her royal heritage and the beauty of Hua Hin.
Laksasubha Hua Hin Resort opened in December 2007 and over the years M.L. Laksasubha’s concept has been honed to perfection. The owner’s personal vision for a unique retreat where guests’ lives are enriched by Thainess, elegance and peace has been realised through a heartfelt passion for her cultural heritage and exquisite attention to detail. From gardens to the décor and furnishings, dining concept and menus, even the staff uniforms, every aspect of this refined resort has been touched by the imagination and creativity of M.L. Laksasubha. The personal touch extends to the care of her guests and she regularly greets them at breakfast, or hosts afternoon tea for returning guests, and welcomes old friends at her renowned New Year celebration by the beach.
Having spent many years living abroad in several countries, M.L. Laksasubha ensures that her guests enjoy international standards of service and hospitality. The expatriate life also made her aware of the beauty and uniqueness of Thai culture and the need to preserve its enchanting traditions. In realising her dream, she has created an incomparable resort with a special ambience and distinctly Thai charm.
Today, guests at the boutique resort can experience the privacy and luxury of room and suites inspired by the original 1920s architectural style, enjoy beachfront dining, bespoke personal services, gracious hospitality and royal Thai heritage, all just steps away from the beach.

We are committed to employing local staff and ensuring they benefit from training and skill development to improve opportunities and prosperity.
We understand the importance of sustainable practices and have implemented environmentally friendly programmes that reflect the concerns of our guests and are a genuine, active and responsible commitment to our environment and society. We are aware that small changes can have a significant impact and we aim to become more energy efficient and continue to recycle waste wherever possible.
Our guests are encouraged to join our social responsibility programmes including a beach cleaning walkathon, and the ‘Green Thumb’ tree planting activity.
Our commitment extends to social projects to help improve living standards for locals. Recently, Laksasubha Hua Hin Resort, together with members of the United Nations Women’s Club, raised funds to build a library at Huay Peung School near Hua Hin. We also use locally grown produce such as pineapples for our preserved pineapple turn down gift and pineapple paper wrappers.
